The Best Adults-Only All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico

Most of Mexico's adults-only all-inclusives line the Caribbean coast between Cancun and Tulum. Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, on the Pacific, have fewer, but no Caribbean seaweed and big sunsets.

The Short Answer

For the most adults-only all-inclusives, fly into Cancun. Within about 90 minutes of the airport you can choose between the Cancun Hotel Zone for nightlife, quiet Playa Mujeres just north of the city, the Riviera Maya around Playa del Carmen, and Akumal and Tulum farther south. Our top pick is UNICO 20°87°, a strictly 18+ resort at Kantenah known for its food.

  • Los Cabos: desert scenery, golf and sunsets, with no Caribbean seaweed, but many beaches are too rough for easy swimming. Marquis Los Cabos is the romantic pick.
  • Puerto Vallarta: a real town with a walkable waterfront and jungle hills behind it. The adults-only all-inclusives here are small boutique hotels, such as Casa Velas.
